To deposit crypto into your Zengo wallet, you can either receive it from another wallet or exchange it or purchase it right from the Zengo app.

To receive from another wallet or exchange:

1. Go to the "main menu" button
2. Tap on "Receive"
3. Choose the asset you wish to receive
4. Use the QR code or copy and share the address directly.

You can then copy your wallet address to your clipboard or use it in the crypto app you want to deposit from. You can view your address QR code, too. You can then enter your address in a different wallet or exchange to send crypto to your Zengo wallet. We'll notify you when it arrives.

No seed phrase import:

Note that Zengo is a self-custodial secure MPC wallet removing private keys or seed phrases vulnerabilities.

You cannot import a seed phrase from another wallet like Metamask, coinbase wallet, or trust wallet, or rainbow in Zengo. The way to have your funds from your former crypto wallet in Zengo is by sending a transaction from your former wallet to Zengo as described above.

Important:

  1. if you deposit an Ethereum token (ERC-20), note that you will need Ethereum (ETH) to be able to withdraw this same token or send it to savings (if supported) or trade.

  2. We do not support layer 2 networks like KCC, Gnosis, BSC (Binance smart chain), TRC20, and others.

To purchase crypto:

  1. Select the central menu button on your screen, and then choose the 'Buy' option

  2. Select the asset and follow the instructions from our payment providers.

  3. Once your order is completed, you will receive the crypto you purchased directly into your Zengo wallet, and we'll notify you when it arrives.

Important: if you buy an Ethereum token (ERC-20), note that you will need Ethereum (ETH) to be able to withdraw this same token (if supported) or trade.
